Patient Support Group
Every month volunteers from the Crohn’s & Colitis UK charity hold a patient support group at Southend Hospital, along with one of the members of the IBD Team at the hospital.

It is open for all patients, new and existing, as well as their loved ones, to come and chat, share experiences and ask questions to the hospital team.
Anyone with an Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD; Crohn’s disease or Colitis) from across Mid and South Essex is welcome, regardless of where your condition is treated or even if you no longer see any specialist team for your IBD.
When & Where
- 3rd Wednesday of each month
- 6-8pm (drop in at any time for as long as you want)
- Southend Hospital: Macmillian Support Centre, Gnd floor (Tower block)
